decided to have my go................. once i got the settings right in this first one i decided to knock this 1 out with the same settings   in the tut when you said try different colours it gave me an idea to attempt a red sky with these clouds! wish me luck

Thanks so much for the tute Goonie. I promised that I would do this & I love the outcome. Used as a jump off point - used the same image with great effect (IMO) with Lomography. Again thanks so much for taking the time & a well written tute too! Here's my outcome:

I think I got it! Originally I had trouble with blending, then realized I was still using linear gradient instead of radial. I guess you have to actually click to change it, just thinking at it doesn't work.  And duplicating the one didn't look right, so I did three different ones and blended them together.

Thanks Goonfella. Sometimes - most of the time - I have to read something a few times before it sinks in. And I don't do realistic stuff much. I try to avoid reality whenever possible.
