Someone (I think it might have been Oma) requested more information on Attachments, so I thought I'd put together a FAQ on the subject.
Q) What are attachments?A) An attachment is a file 'attached' to your post. It can technically be any kind of file, but for security reasons the types of files you can upload are limited.
Q) When should I attach files to my post, and when should I find another host for them?A) Generally, images should be hosted on a site like PhotoBucket or ImageShack. However if you have a pdn file you would like to share, or a zip file, feel free to attach them if they are small enough. You should especially attach files that are a part of a tutorial, as external hosts can be unreliable.
Q) How do I attach files to my posts? A) You use this box here:

First click Browse to find the file you want to attach, then click "Add the file" to attach it. If it is a valid file type, it will attach to your post.
Q) What kinds of files are allowed?A)
.ace .gtar .gz .rar .tar .zip .gif .jpeg .jpg .pdn .png .tga &
.tif are allowed on all forums, and
.c .cpp .diz .h .hpp .txt .ai .doc .dot .pdf .ppt .ps .xls and
.xml are allowed in the
Recipes, Techniques, and Tricks forum and the
Chatterbox forum.
Q) What is the maximum file size for attachments? A) 5 MB
Q) How many files can I attach per post? A) Three per forum post, and one per Private Message.
Q) How much space does the forum have to store attachments? A) Currently a little over 1636 MB, but this amount is constantly increasing:
