Polar Inversion?! Couldn't resist teasing you. I must say, that is a much easier way to make a flower with PI. I have often wondered how to make one quickly and simple, and I must say this is one way to do that. Nice job, Welshy.

Very clever Welshy. And awfully brave of you to admit using PI! Only kidding of course. I`ve always wondered why there seems to be a `thing' about PI . If it gives the results you need then use it I say.

Welshy isn't the only one - awful lot of it in my work too. Nothing wrong with men in tight shorts either skip the moustache though

I cant figure how to turn the grid off..."discard the original hex layer" I had only one layer at that point. So i am thinkin there is a way to turn the grid off, or I plowed right through the step BTW Thank You ~WelshBlue~ I really liked that, it worked great except I missed the turn off grid part that gave me black edges.

To discard the grid layer, you could either delete it, or tick off the check box to turn it off. Either way, make sure the grid layer is on its own layer.

Lance is right. Apologies for not stating that the grid should be on it's own layer. My bad. After a play around, for different look flowers you can use Effects >>> Stylize >>> Halftone. (Using the Grim Colour Reaper plug-in to get rid of the white) Then run Polar Inversion ( slightly different settings, but a small play will find them ...)
