Sargon III wrote:PeterPawn wrote:@Sargon: WOW!!! Great video. Now I have to ask you, what software program did you use to make the video?
Thanks, for this video I used the Debut Video Capture Software, it is from NCH Software, you can find it here, and there is 3 versions I have downloaded the free one and it is not bad: The only problem it has, ( or may be I am not using it in the right way) is that it showing itself when you are capturing the screen, so you have to use it in a tricky way to hide it in your video. EDIT/ I don't know if it is allowed to post a link here, check your PM.
Feel free to post any links necessary. (As long as the site is clean, that is.)

@ Ben_R_R, thank you. This is 3D gem, same idea, after that, duplicate the gem layer, rotate it 45 or any degree you liking, Xor blend mood, merge then Shape-3D (see full image)

PeterPawn wrote: Thanks. I'll definitely check it out. Your video is now on my computer and I will be checking it out. I know that the technique you demonstrated there will be very useful for me . explain to me how you saved. I now have you tube account first time. would like to save this video as well to my computor. PM me or e mail me ..... an abstract is forming in my mind..... ciao OMA PS flip it over and add some fruit, make a nice looking fruit bowl. or the top of a facetted wine glass? i don't quite get how you went from previous gem to this but i've time to play this afternoon before i go to the hairdresser. ((finished the cleaning this morning, (shampoo rugs, clean freezer, wash cloths, wash windows etc etc) sometimes I think going away is more hassel than it is fun)) now all I have left to do is pack. sure need a holiday to rest up from all the work that gets done prior to going away. LOL!

So sorry oma, to be late to answer your Question, I saw it at morning but didn't have time to post, I just came from work I hope you still there. Anyways: first of all, you don't have to have a YouTube account to download a video, so if you are using FireFox, then there is an add on ( Video DownloadHelper) you can use it to download any video from any site on the net with one click. And for Internet Explorer, for sure there is many ways, but I use Realplayer SP to download videos, it is the fastest way, but you have to download the RealPlayer media player.

Finally got around to doing the tutorial. It's awesome, never used kaliedoscope before so I learned a lot. Sargon, on the 3d image how did you make the radiating lines at the bottom of the gem? Here's my tutorial result.... please click for larger image.
