I feel somewhat like an idiot for greeting myself since Lance McKnight and I are one and the same. Here's what happened...I forgot my password one day to log in to my account, and it just got messed up. In spite of my best effort to change my password, I guess I royally screwed up. So, hi, everyone.

Well at least you're back on here.
I've forgotten the password for the wireless router...have to wait until Monday to contact the ISP. At least yours is more easily fixed.

Isn't there some kind of forgotten password feature in this forum? You try to log in, and then hit a button saying you forgot your password. Then it ask for the e-mail you used when signing up, and send you a new password. I know other forums can do something like that.

I have done that about 10 times, and it didn't work. Every time I tried, it would say, "You have specific an incorrect password." Then after 1 (1!) attempt, it would say, "You have exceed the number of allowed log in, please enter your username, password, and the confirmation code below." Ben, although, was a great help, trying to get me back in the system, but it was to no avail. I got impatient and decided to register a new account. Unfortunately, that will mean I will have lost all my post counts, thanks, and I hope he will be willing to cancel the other account and roll over the modship to this one. It was a frustrating week for me. *sigh* But on a good token, I made a new sig this morning, and I hope it's even better than my last one...

To be honest, I sometime question that, especially on the main board. Ben is trying to get that account reactivated, and so far, we haven't had any luck. So, I'm waiting to see if he can't log in my account from his end. It seem to be a problem with the database. I have done a search on PHPBB's site, and it appears a lot of people are having this problem as well. I have also re-opened a dA account (look for me as LanceII there). I have gone to some of you fellas' deviants.

That happened to me when I first started using PDN a few years ago. No matter what I did I couldn't log in even with the correct password. It was really weird. But a week later, I tried and it worked. It could be something wrong with the system or something. Who knows. Glad that you're still here.

How long ago did you and Ben talk about getting it fixed? Maybe we can get something figured out (or get your old posts reassigned to your new account).

Fixed.
Had to remove the space from your old username before it would quit complaining about the password.
I'll PM you your current temporary one if you like, or you can just use the "forgot my password" link.
Please let me know once you successfully log in with "LanceMcKnight" as your username so I can delete your new account.
