I have noticed that some users are using the thumbpop code. It is great at resizing, but unfortunately, the speed and time it takes to compress the image from Photobucket or ImageShack takes a while to load. I have a DSL internet connection and it does take a while to load a gallery. Some users takes advantage of Photobucket or ImageShack ability to generate thumbnail image of your work and then click on it to see your work in all of its glory.
Unfortunately, the code that's provided by Photobucket and ImageShack takes you directly to their account, which takes a while to load just to see the work.
The purpose of this guide is to walk you through steps without having to jump through the hoops.
As a prerequisite, make sure you are registered at Photobucket or ImageShack, and they both provide free service with limited amount of storage space and bandwidth. If you have the money, you could always upgrade to a premium service. Please be sure to read TOS (Term of Service) before you post work that might get your account suspended or banned.
Using Photobucket ServiceStep 1 - Upload your work.

Step 2 - After you save your work to your account, look below the Upload box, and you'll see some of your work. If you hover your cursor on your image, you'll see a "drop down" list of Share Image options. We want the
IMG Thumb option as highlighted in yellow. For the purpose of this tutorial, I am using my Butterfly "Create Something" artwork.

Step 3 - After you click on the IMG Thumb option, right-click and click "Copy." In your post, paste the code. Again, I am using the code that will generate the thumbnail of the larger version of my work.
- Code: Select all

Step 4 - Get rid of the extra code as shown in red.

Now you can finally link to your work without jumping through the hoops and saving everybody considerable time in viewing your work.
Using ImageShack Service (credit: Sarkut)This shows a way to have ImageShack thumbnails
go directly to the image rather than the account page.
