After going through the PS tuts link that Goon' posted, this tut' sparked a few ideas http://psd.tutsplus.com/tutorials/photo ... era-scene/

I don't want to use a camera, just a few things I make in PDN ... BUT ... I've wracked my brains and had a play around, still can't get the liquified look.

Any thoughts/ ideas ?

my first thoughts when I looked at this was to start with a duplicated layer with dents that gets transparent gradiant out over the original picture. but I'm not sure the current dents will work.

what have you tired?

Try using the smudge effect. Also, I remember on the main forum, someone asked a question about liquefy and one of the mods said to use bulge. Try using a different brush when you're smudging because you might get different results.

I won't post the image but I'm trying to make an image called Party's Over ... basically a melting disco ball.

The only thing I'd tried was bulge and wobble. Maybe I should get out of the comfort zone of plug-ins I use ... I very rarely use Dents. Only used Smudge in 3 or 4 posted images ... and Lance's water tut' to try.

Thanks folks, all food for thought (mmmm food. How come, when you're dieting, you're always hungry ?)

I'll try the suggestions and hopefully report back with something positive ...

Along with bulge, try power stretch too.
