Exactly what it says on the tin. I would like to add three limited power mods, as outlined below, to assist in running of the forum. If any off the below sounds like something you would be interesting in helping out with, please send me a PM expressing your interest. I can't guarantee that everyone who PM's me will get a position, or even that I will decide to fill every position from the pool of applicants. I trust that in such cases there will be no hard feelings. Remember, the final goal is to advance our abilities with PDN, and you can do that whether or not you are a Mod.
The Arena MasterThe Arena Master will be in charge of The Arena , meaning they'll run the challenges , make sure the polls are up and closed on time, announce the winners, and make sure they get added to the galleria thread (Which I will eventually create.). They will still be permitted to enter contests as they would otherwise. In addition they will help moderate the occasional tag-team editing thread (boy, we haven't had one of those in ages...). An Arena Master should be able to keep a consistent schedule. I'd leave it up to them to pick the time and day of the week that closing and opening challenges works for them, but they will be expected to keep to the schedule, and not make missing challenge openings and closings a habit (Emergencies are acceptable reasons to miss, and if you go on vacation or something, I or one of the other Mods will gladly step in to help, so don't think you'll be handcuffed to it.

).
The Lab AssistantThe Lab Assistant will oversee the Recipes, Techniques, and Tricks section. Duties here will involve monitoring tutorials for inappropriate content(Not very likely, I admit), reminding tutorial writers to link to the plugins they used, encoraging good style in tutorials, moving the occasional newbie miss-post, and helping promote great tutorials by stickying them.
Official Newbie AmbassadorDuties of The official Newbie Ambassador will include moderation of the

PDN Primers boards. In addition the Newbie Ambassador would be tasked with helping new users get oriented. For example PMing newbies with advice on how to set up a gallery, gently reminding them of the rules, and in general giving them a favorable first impression.

There you go. They all have different duties and different time demands. Please apply if only if you are sure you can handle the commitment. Don't worry about the technical aspects, though. Moderating is not much harder than posting, and anyone who is made a Mod will receive the necessary training. We won't just throw you to the sharks.

I will give everyone 4 days to send in applications before I start filling positions, after that I'll keep the application process open until all the positions are filled. An application doesn't need to be formal, but it should contain a list of the positions you are interested in, as well as why you think you would be make a good moderator. I may ask for more information via PM if I feel I need it.
Good luck!
