Excellent shading to bring out the indivualisticity (I know that's not a word ...) of each flower.
Looks great nice shape on the vase. My gran had one very similar

They could also make a great zinnia ... http://www.cathyflower.com/zinnia.jpg

The carnations are just perfect! I love the fragrance of carnations & their feel. These ones are so pretty, set off in such a beautiful vase. A very cheery image. Well done Oma!

WoW - an amazingly realistic result. The carnations are ......... exactly like carnations :) The texture is perfect and I'm wondering how you managed to get it so close to the real thing. Very clever indeed. The jade vase is magnificent too. Super work :wink2:

thanks Leif its not too bad for realism should actually have done each flower individual but I was lazy. if you look close you can see they are all variations of one flower. LOL!

Welshy thanks look close you can see the repetions. its mainly just some bright color adjusts etc. and some little bit of shadow here and there that gives that illusion. its amazing what the brain will fill in for you. Love zinnia's, just have never had much luck growing them. took your inspiration piece and started the ideas perking. not sure how to go about this one, but you never know what a couple of late night pdn sessions will bring to the table. LOL!

Pixey I won't do a tut but I'll try to give you some pointers over at Paint.net when I get some tme next week.

Goonfella thanks for the thumbs up star fav. I appreciate it.

Gorgeous carnations in a beautiful vase! They're my favourite flower.

I look forward to seeing the zinnias too. I don't know if I'll ever get that close to reality, it's something I try to avoid!

shamless bump to bring my gallery to the top so it doesn't get lost off the page by some mindless new spam generator.

maybe we should all bump our galleries up so those nonsense dirtbags are down really buried.

ciao OMA

PS I don't really want to go over to that surgeforce its wicked long signup. I'll post DA and main board for awhile.
