PDN Fanatics

Hi all...

Let me start off by saying a great big huge thank you to Ben for keeping everything moving while I've been gone.

I'm in the midst of a change of employment, and I've been as busy as I can be for a while now...I literally have had no time, between taking my son to Cub Scouts, working, and doing things around the house (oh, and sleeping) to do much of anything online...you'll notice I've been absent from the official forums too.

That said, my change in employment (happily) means a raise for me, and that also means that sometime around the end of January, I'll be able to switch the forums to a Pro hosting account (since I can actually afford to pay for it and still have electricity, etc).

So, start thinking about what things should look like...we can completely, and I mean *completely*, change the layout and content of the site...including adding stuff that phpBB doesn't even offer as an option (provided I can figure out how to code it).

I'll probably be an infrequent visitor for a while yet, but I don't have much choice at the moment.

I miss hanging out and my skills are getting rusty (as I found out yesterday when I had to create some graphics), but I'll be back eventually.

Same as Ash said, oh and I was wondering what you could do to the site other than give it a domain name. I mean are you going to buy one of those online layouts that is like $100? Well anyway, I love this forum and hope it never does die.

Lol, 12 Euro's a year for a .com domain...

I might create a few basic ones, and then there will be contests to skin one or more of them. This is a fan site, and since it's impossible on the official forums, it'll be the norm here that users can submit (and compete with) skins.

For that matter, there will probably be a lot more than just phpBB here...some php-based, image-specific stuff...you guys tell me what.
