You've done a really tremendous job on it Goonie! It is so smooth & looks better than the tute. The background for it is perfect. I love the text. The texture makes me want to touch it to feel how deep it is engraved. The light on the button is superb. Really well done!

Praise indeed Barbie! Thanks very much. I`m glad you like the text as it was one of the trickier things to get right. It was easy enough making it but getting it to the right angle and perspective took a bit of trial and error - more error that`s for sure! Especially the text on the side . Worked out in the end though.

The things that come easy never makes us feel as proud as the things we struggle with. Your persistence paid off very well.

That's an awesome job mate. So realistic, the disc tray appears to bend - but it doesn't. An optical illusion I've seen on my son's machine.
I read what you said about trial and error ... the best way to learn. And it's paid off on this image.

The only thing that I notice on a negative is the air vents should be a bit sharper ?

Thanks Welshy. I did have problems with the vents. I tried sharpening them up a bit using the High Pass plug in , obviously not enough though. Another little thing for me to have a go at. I`ve still got the file so I`ll see what I can do. I`ve already adjusted the perspective on the power button , mentioned by Chris on dA . Little things but it`s these that make the difference.

Goonie, I tried Stinger myself today & yep, I had a trojan lurking. Zapped it good. Got nothing the first time on a low sensitivity to I upped it to maximum & that showed then. Sneaky little lurker.

Well everyone I reckon this will probably be my last post on this forum. What a great shame it has come to this. I am feeling really down at the moment. It`s been my first stop on the internet for so long , it will feel strange not to see that familiar bookmark up there with the rest. I look forward to meeting you all on Lance`s new forum that he set up. We all owe him big time for his efforts .
