What does Paint.net have in the way of Keyboard shortcuts? Beside the obvious ones like Ctrl+s, Ctrl+c, Ctrl+v...etc...

All of the available mouse and keyboard functions are listed here in the Paint.NET help file.

http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/en/K ... mands.html

I suggest learning them and learning them well!

As the story goes, when asked about his first 1000 failed attempts at creating a light bulb, Thomas Edison said, "I have not failed 1,000 times. I have
successfully discovered 1,000 ways to NOT make a light bulb."

Keyboard Shortcuts make the first 999 attempts at PdN greatness a little easier to get through...

My favorites (well, most used):
Ctrl + Shift + X -> Crop to selection.
Ctrl + Shift + V -> paste in new layer
Ctrl + Alt + V -> paste in new image
S -> Selection tools
M -> Move tools

My most recent favorite (really, really useful for semi-transparent selections) is [SHIFT] + magic wand. Selects all pixels in the image that match your magic wand selection and tolerance...even if they're not connected regions.

Holding SHIFT while using the line/curve tool often helps to make exact 180 or 90 degrees lines.

CTRL + SHIFT + F = Flatten.

CTRL + SHIFT + D = Duplicate Layer.

Thats a few I often use.
