What it does:

Scales images larger than 800 pixels down so they are exactly 800 pixels wide. Does not affect images smaller than 800 pixels.

How to use it:

When you should use it:

Whenever you want to make it easier for people to view larger images. Its use is not required, but I personally recommend it if you have an image significantly larger than 800 pixels wide.
