Can anyone please help me to understand how this photo was created?

Quite a few parts was cut and paste for the reflection. More noticeable is the right hind leg.
Using clone stamp to fill up some spaces.
Also notice the part right above the right hind leg doesn't look quite right in the reflection.

I suppose I am looking for some sort of "Mentor" to help me make this.

I am slightly new with paint.net. I do know and understand most of the basics though.

For personal reasons, it is important for me to make this photo with my own GSD.

Anyone want to be pestered while they help me make it?

Find a lake and a dog. Put them in different layers.


Crop out the dog and add Water Reflection effect. Adjust waves to get as close as possible to the waves on the lake.
