LOL, we are turning this thread into off topic :P
I don't remember how many layers, I will have to check.
But I remember I got it done quite fast. Mainly used my newly(At that time) 3d metal tut.

Ever thought about musical notes? (I am so good at music that i can play anything so long as it goes into my CD player!) There must be a finite number of notes that can be produced but it is the arrangement & choice of instrument(s) that allows for all the wonderful variety of music that we have. The tutes should be viewed as teaching a concept rather than how to create an artwork. There are a limited number of plugins & effects but it is how they are used that creates the uniqueness.

I don't yet have a sig or even updated my profile...I am working on the tutes with a view to learning the basics, the concept, so that I can put together something that is me. For me, art is a process not an end result. The process is complete when I decide the result pleases me or displeases me to the point where I hit Delete.

There are no mistakes - only miss-takes. Miss-takes are a learning opportunity since they provide feedback.

Skilla, from what I have read of your posts, you have created a sig, decided it wasn't just right, tried again & again...along the way you have made improvements & you have learnt a lot that you are probably not aware of...I think your sig is great! Surely sigs are not set in concrete?

Cheers

Ding ding ding, correct. :)

Notice my tuts usually only have methods (How plugins and effects can work for you) and no themes? ;)
I really dislike when people ask: Hey Ash, make tut for your robot and such.

^^^

Is why if I write a tut it's for the basic image, with a link to the finished thing. IMO this gives people the chance to experiment with finishes, and in my experience I learnt more by playing around instead of having it put on a plate ...
