This tutorial will show how to make this: *** This tutorial owes a lot to the tutorials of other people, and I'll post credit on the relevant steps *** The first step is to make a wood texture. I've done it a bit differently, but all credit goes to Drakaan for planting the seed in my head ... This next part owes huge credit to theonlychad who's concrete tutorial is ever present one way or another in most of my work In the interests of keeping the tut here relatively short ... follow the steps as laid out by Chad in the above link Then follow the steps below: And you're done. A huge thanks to the tut writers I've named

I love the way you combined different tuts to achieve this effect. Ingenious. Nice one Welshy. Here is my go. I decided to use Glow as the blending mode instead of overlay at the crumpling part and I also zoomed in to the max with the Layer Rotate/Zoom tool. That`s why it`s a bit different from yours. Oh and I never used Chad`s concrete. I tried it but preferred the texture without it.

Awesome, Welshy! Saved for later. Thanks for writing the tute. I am still working on the spanner one but I will do this one.
Fantastic outcome Goonie! Looks real.

@ Goon' ... looks awesome mate. The beauty is you've looked at the tut and did your own thing. So I know it was easy to understand That's a nice wood effect going on. Very warm colours. A bit of practice, a bit of experimenting by adding different wood effects together and you'll overtake my wood mate And thanks @ Leif, Helen and BarbieQ' ... thanks guys, but the real credit goes to the other tut writers ... I just made and played. One thing I've learnt is to keep playing, the following image was made with 4 additional layers using textures listed in the tut

Glad you put this all together...Yep, see what you mean now about the other tute writers. It is people who take the time to write good tutes like yours that keeps me at this. Here is my attempt. Not that you can see much but I entered it in the WOTW comp. I love the outcome & it is one I will definitely play with some more. I has a big hairy spider in there but I had to take it out - felt sick looking at it.

That's really cool barbieq! Much better than a spider. I have absolutely zero ideas for the WOTW. Probably won't get around to it, I'll be watching scary movies all weekend.

Lance, your're funny! I got a chuckle out of that.
Blackpenny, a wallpaper in that theme I found hard to do given the short time I had to complete it.
